Custom
Orders
At
SGT Blades I make knives of my own design along with reproductions
of antique weapons (swords and knives from 300 - late 1800), and
I do custom orders. If you have your own design you wish to be
transformed from thought to steel I will do my best to make it
a reality. If you like one of my many designs, but want your own
personal touches added to it, I can make it happen.
For
steels I work with 440, ATS-34, 5160, O1, W2, Damascus and other
steels on occasion..
I
have a large selection of handle materials, roughly 20 different
kinds of wood (from ebony and blood wood to cocobolo and curly
maple) various types of dymond wood, leather washer handles, narwhale
tusk, walrus tusk, whale tooth, whitetail, elk and moose antler,
sheep and cow horn, twisted wire, and braided leather.
I do my own leatherwork for the sheaths, from a plain simple sheath
to carved designs and exotic inlays, the possibilities are endless.
Over
the years of making knives I have strived to get better and better
in my work. Obviously the more work I put into a knife the higher
the price tag. I found that I was leaving my original market behind,
the average hunter who is no longer satisfied with the factory
knife and wants a good knife at an affordable price.
At
a local gun show in Jan 2004, I unveiled some new knives. I call
them economy grade. no compromise on the steel, but the fit and
finish are by no means perfect. This allows you the chance to
get a good knife and not have a heart attack if you loose it while
out on your atv or when you fall in the creek fishing.
No
matter what your budget, or ideas, I will do my best to make you
the knife of your dreams. Please feel free to contact
me with your ideas or questions.
